谋定而后动，英语学院愿以丰富的经验帮助你迎接挑战。作为对外经济贸易大学历史最悠久的学科之一，英语专业设立于1951年学校成立之初，现为“211工程”大学校级重点学科。经过50 多年的发展和几代专家学者的不懈努力，我校的英语专业，尤其是商务英语专业，已建立起一套完整、科学、先进的课程体系，成为享誉国内外的著名学科，成为全国商务英语教学和科研的领军团队，并形成了一支特色鲜明、结构合理、综合实力强的师资队伍。与欧盟口译司在北京合作设立的国际会议译员培训项目——中欧高级译员培训中心，得到了中国教育部、外交部、商务部和北京市相关部门的大力支持，已在社会上享有很高的知名度。

A Message from the Dean
Dear friends,
On behalf of the school faculty, I warmly welcome you to the School of International Studies (SIS) of the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE)!
More than ever before, the economic globalization and rapid growth of Chinese economy offer those with state-of-the-art business talent, strong cross-cultural communicative competence as well as global perception, unlimited opportunities to apply their experience and expertise as they acquire them. Opportunities only favor those who are fully prepared and ready. Shrewd actions are always taken on the basis of prudent planning and preparations. SIS is willing to stand behind you and share with you its time-tested experiences in your decisions to face the challenges ahead.
As one of the earliest and best programs in UIBE, the BA Program for Business English started after the establishment of the university in 1951. Now it has become one of the key disciplines of UIBE, one of the "Project 211" universities designated by the Ministry of Education of China . Through continuous endeavor of generations of experts and scholars, SIS has now earned its domestic and international reputation in business English teaching & research, with a well-structured and highly professional faculty. Especially, it has established a systematic, scientific and effective model for business English training and become a top leader in this field across China .
With the excellent faculty and as the largest school of the university, we have collaborated with the Division for Interpretation of the European Union in a joint training project for international conference interpretation in Beijing — the Sino-EU Interpreter Training Center . This project has received extensive support from the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Commerce and Beijing municipal government and has earned a good reputation.
Our educational principle is to train qualified people with all-round ability in the fields of business and commerce. Students in the program are required not only to acquire good English communicative skills, but also the necessary knowledge concerning international business, culture and humanities. In this way, they can communicate efficiently in real-life business activities. Graduates from our school have been well accepted by employers, resulting in a high rate of employment for years.
